Leaders of two of Canada's most successful high-tech companies will be among the visionary speakers at MISA Ontario's 2007 Annual Conference and Trade Show, June 10-13 in the City of Waterloo.

Tom Jenkins, chairman and chief strategy officer of OpenText, and Mike Lazaridis, co-CEO of Research in Motion, will deliver speeches at the conference, to be held at the RIM Park business centre.

Louis Zacharilla, vice-president of the Intelligent Communities Forum (ICF), will also be a guest speaker, reflecting the ICF's designation of Waterloo as one of the Top Seven Intelligent Communities in the world, in both 2006 and 2007.

The conference theme is "The Art of Balance," and chair Garry Bezruki, director of information systems for the City of Waterloo, says it will be an educational event for IT professionals and managers from municipalities of all sizes.

The conference will present four streams of sessions:

  • Best Practices and Private/Public Partnerships  
  • Enabling Your Mobile Workforce
  • Enterprise Solutions & Project Management

2007 MISA Ontario Annual Conference

MISA Ontario's 2007 Annual Conference and Trade Show will be held in the City of Waterloo on June 10-13. It will be a special celebration because 2007 marks the City of Waterloo's 150th anniversary.
