For the Networking component, this year's conference will begin with the choice of a Golf Tournament or the exciting Cruizin' the Hammer Event.
- The Annual Golf Tournament will be held at King's Forest Golf Course. This course has been included in SCOREGolf's 2010 list of Canada's Top 100 golf courses.
King's Forest measures 7,150 yards, par-72 from the tips with a rolling layout that features some terrific elevated tee shots, lots of challenging doglegs and six holes cross the Red Hill Creek. Located in the heart of the picturesque Red Hill Valley and at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment, King's Forest Golf Club is without doubt one of the premier public golf facilities in the country.
Golf is restricted to 144 golfers and is available on a first registered first in basis.
- The Cruizin' the Hammer event is planned for the non-golfers and will take place in various parts of the City of Hamilton, which is affectionately know as 'the Hammer'. This will be a great deal of fun!
You are invited to join your hosts from the City of Hamilton, along with other MISA colleagues, for a surprising, challenging, competitive, and action-filled afternoon experiencing the sights, sounds, and tastes of the City of Hamilton like you would never have imagined. Be prepared to employ your communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills in a race against the clock for prizes, and more importantly, conference bragging rights.
This event is restricted to 100 attendees and again is on a first registered first in basis.
The networking events, including the Sunday reception, Monday social event and the Tuesday banquet, will provide an excellent opportunity to renew old friendships and develop new ones. The connections made at MISA are invaluable throughout the year. The networking events planned for this year will be set up to encourage conversations and information exchange.
The third key benefit of the MISA Annual Conference is to learn about the latest technology offerings. To this end the conference will include a 65 vendor trade show on Monday and Tuesday opening at 8:00 each day.
If you have attended a MISA Conference you are aware of the value gained from this event. If this is your first conference, we expect you will leave this looking forward to the 2013 event.
